7-7-2010 NEWS; “Eddie Morgan has taken a couple of months off from the group, due to some family health issues and feeling in will be Jordan Hamby and Mike White. Please remember Eddie in pray and the group, we rely so much on Eddie’s playing and singing!! Jordan Hamby is no stranger to gospel music, he has been playing gospel music most of his life with his family’s group “The Singing Hambys”. Mike White is one of the original founding members of LakeSide and we welcome him back to the group and looks like we may be seeing him full time in the future, so please remember Mike in pray. As you can see we need your prays, we have a lot going on and I just complicated things by changing jobs. Also, we are writing new material and searching for new material for our next recording, which will be with Chapel Valley Studios. We are looking forward to working with Chapel Valley!!! 7-1-2010 LakeSide has joined the Chapel Valley Studio’s family. LakeSide has just reached an agreement with Chapel Valley Studios and is now on the newly created “Mercy Road” Label. LakeSide is so excited to be part of the new Mercy Road Label, and to release our latest single “Oh Lord I Love You” on Chapel Valley Disc #17. LakeSide is looking forward to a long-term partnership with Chapel Valley and the capability to grow our music ministry and mission work. LakeSide is currently writing and compiling material, and are planned to record 4th quarter of 2010. God Bless, Greg Blankenship” 10-14-2009 “NQC has come and gone and we are finally getting back to normal. NQC was a great experience and we met several groups and people through out the week. We also played Friday’s showcase and met many great people!! On October 16, 2009, we will be singing at the Kentucky State Gospel Singing Convention at Cave City, KY, so please come and see us if you are in the area. We are truly looking forward to meeting everyone around Cave City. LakeSide is attempting to start some email distribution and soon modifications will be made to our website to add people to our distribution list. We are looking forward to singing with the Inspirations in November in Cookeville, TN, so please come and be a part of that event if you can? LakeSide has also finalized our plans for our Annual Singing, please check out the poster, on the “Home” page of our website. On 2/27/2010 LakeSide will host our 2nd Annual Singing featuring the Primitive Quartet, Diplomats and LakeSide at Hiwassee College, Madisonville, TN. Also a preconcert will be provided by to excellent gospel groups; The Bondservants and Rocky Flatts, please come and be part of our annual singing if you can? We are now writing material and saving money for a new project and we are also in need of a upgrade to our sound system, so we are working very hard to keep our ministry going, so please remember us in pray. We so much appreciate each one that visits our website and hopefully we will see you soon!!” Update 06/09/09 “LakeSide has just release our 2nd Release on Eddie Crook Co. Vol. 02-2009, “I Can’t Help Smiling”. We are so excited about this song and we hope everyone is truly blessed by the message it contains. Also, we are preparing for the National Quartet Convention we plan on being there on September 16, 17, 18 & 19th, please come by our booth No. 810 and visit us? We have just finalized the groups that will be at our Annual Singing. On February 27, 2010 LakeSide’s 2nd Annual Singing will feature; The Primitive Quartet, The Diplomats and LakeSide at Hiwassee College(Butcher Auditorium), Madisonville, TN. All that can please come and be with use!!!!! Update 04/25/09 On 04/25/09 LakeSide was in service with the Lenoir City First Baptist where Ken Sparks, the Football Coach for Carson Newman spoke about the 4 important downs in which all men have to meet to be in God’s will and obtain a “Touchdown”. The “Steak Out” was great fun filled with a great spirit and fellowship and LakeSide appreciated the honor to be part of this event. LakeSide’s Annual Singing has been determined to be held at Hiwassee College “Butler Auditorium” on 02/27/09 with Featured artist to be the “Primitive Quartet and LakeSide” , and at this moment we are searching for a southern gospel group to be part of this event. We are extremely excited about this service and feel it will be a wonderful services to up lift our Lord and Saviour!! Update 03/17/09 “LakeSide held their first homecoming on February 28, 2009 at the Sequoyah High School Gym, in Madisonville, TN. The event was a huge success. We had a great time in fellowship with one another but most importantly, a sweet spirit was there that night. I have received so many comments on how, so many was blessed and touched by the songs and testimonies. Paul Williams and the Victory Trio were fantastic and what a ministry he has, and of course what a tenor voice!! The Hymnsmen Quartet and Lingerfelts provided some awesome southern gospel music. We so appreciate everyone that took part in our first homecoming! I would also, like to thank Sheb Phillips for being the MC, he did an outstanding job!!! Even though the day was quite rainy and some other community events were happening, we had a terrific crowd of approximately 475 people and the spirit of the Lord was truly on all aspects of the service. We are starting to plan for 2010’s event, so please make plans to attend.” - GAB Update 05/12/08 Our first song release has just been sent to Southern Gospel Radio “Jesus Loves Me” on Eddie Crook’s Compilation CD 2008-003. We are extremely excited about the release and feel the song has a strong message of God’s Love and Grace through Jesus. We have been very busy for the past few months and we are looking forward to being with the Lewis Family on 5/31 at the Conasauge Bluegrass Festival. Our DVD’s have arrived and we will be forwarding these to some of our local TV/radio stations this month. We are very pleased with the DVD and we hope it will be used to allow more people to be introduced to LakeSide. Please continue to pray for us and our ministry and we look forward to meeting on down the road. -------- Greg Blankenship Update 1-23-2008 On 1/19/08, LakeSide conducted their first DVD of all the songs recorded on the “From Our Heart” CD. The Eddie Crook Company did a fantastic job of producing and managing this event. The recording was performed at NorthStart Studios in Nashville, TN and Tim Blankenship was able to set in on the fiddle. The DVDs should be ready for distribution within a couple of weeks. "LakeSide is to release their new CD & DVD in January of 2008. This CD/DVD will contain all original material and feature Justin Moses on Fiddle and Dobro, and John Wilson on Guitar. We are excited about the new songs and we hope all who listens are blessed by these songs. Tim Blankenship and Seth Patton have decided to semi-retire from Southern Grace and we wish them the best and God's blessings in all their future activities. Also, Randy Terry has joined the group and is playing Banjo and Guitar. Randy is a devote Christian and has an unbelievable testimony.
